AJ Burnett and Jim Varney – Separated at Birth

Written By:  Craig   |  Category:  Cleveland Indians   |  Comments:   9

It was much easier to watch the World Series last night sans Cliff Lee and C.C. Sabathia.  The Yankees tied up the World Series at a game a piece last night. While I was watching A.J. Burnett scowl at the catcher all night, it occurred to me that he looked like Jim Varney from the Earnest movies.

If this whole pitching thing doesn’t work out, Burnett can probably follow up Earnest Goes to Jail with some new sequels.  Tyler Perry will appreciate it so he can figure out where to send Madea next.

Yay! Everyone loves a good Ernest take! Remember that time he crushed his fingers and screamed? Hilarious!

And what’s the deal with that stupid rope Burnett wears around his neck? For God’s sake, you’re wearing the Yankee pinstripes in Yankee Stadium in the frickin’ World Series, not hangin’ out with the trendoids at the Cadillac Ranch. Show a little professionalism.

Same for Joba and his grossly filthy hat. You’re not changin’ your oil, dude, you’re in the major leagues. I’m surprised Steinbrenner hasn’t put a stop to this affront to the game.

    Now get off my lawn!

Good call, I could never get around Burnett’s butt fugly mug. I couldn’t sign a guy that ugly cause I’d have to see him every four days.

Plus the Indians would never pony up 5 years and $82.5 million for him. :-)

Jordan — Tyler Perry is one of the most successful producers in Hollywood. He continues to get work because he makes the work.

And WFNY better watch out. Jim Varney’s face might be used one day in the future to illustrate a Cleveland.com story if the Tribe ever signs AJ Burnett.
