Patience with the Browns vs. Patience with the Cavs
December 11, 2009While We’re Waiting… RB Josh Cribbs, GM Floyd Reese and OF Marcus Thames
December 12, 2009The Cavs return home tonight looking to right the ship after two lack-luster performances in Memphis and Houston. The good news? LeBron James has had a triple-double each of the last two times the Cavs hosted the Blazers at The Q. Three of his 25 career trip-dubs have come at the expense of Portland, in fact.
The Cavs need to get back to playing sound defense, limiting their turnovers, and getting contributions from people not named LeBron. The Blazers come in struggling—without Rudy Fernandez and Greg Oden—having lost four of six. All of the game info is after the jump…
Probable Starters
Cleveland: Mo Williams, Anthony Parker, LeBron James, JJ Hickson, Shaquille O’Neal
Portland: Steve Blake, Brandon Roy, Martell Webster, LaMarcus Aldridge, Joel Przybilla.
Injury Report
Cleveland: Leon Powe is out, Jamario Moon is questionable (hamstring), and Daniel Gibson is a game-time decision (hand contusion).
Portland: Nicolas Batum (shoulder), Rudy Fernandez (sciatic), Patrick Mills (foot), Greg Oden (knee), Travis Outlaw (foot), and Jeff Pendergraph (hip) are all out.

ahh who cares about the cavs? THE BROWNS WON!!! ok im watchin the cavs on the 67″ but c’mon im still celebrating the Browns win
TO’s already getting the better of us. Get some glue on JJ’s hands!
a low post BY LEBRON!!!! look how easy that was!
It’s my favorite mythical creature, that LBJ low post move.
Juwan Howard is partying like it’s 2001.
ok…clearly portland cant keep this shooting spree going into halftime…
Remember how fun last year was? What happened to that?
@ Maim – MANGINI RUINED EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING!!!
Shaq was trying to make a dent in the ground off that LBJ pass.
This really isn’t faring well. The Cavs can’t get ANYTHING done without LeBron on the floor.
After all these years it is so frustrating to see LeBron and a bunch of other guys standing around watching him do everything.
I take that back lol
Some beautiful fast break passing there by the Cavs (LBJ specifically).
Holy Shaq hook shot.
any chance DWest finds his way back into the starting rotation after the halfway point of the season?
@ Justin – I don’t know. Having a second unit of Z, Andy, and Delonte should in theory work well with their being familiar with each other from starting together previously. I don’t think there is enough consistency with West’s moods for him to be counted on to start.
Mo in particular had some sick passing in that game, in of course the good sense of the word.
