Did Ravens fans eat paint chips when they were kids?

Good God, what has Ravens fan done this time?
A legitimate question it seems.
For some reason, I had always assumed that Baltimore was somewhat of a football town. I mean how could I not. It is the city Art Modell chose to pack up the franchise formerly known as the Browns and moved them to Maryland for after all. Well, so much for assumptions…
It seems that the Ravens fans may not know very much about the game after all. In an ESPN.com poll, the fans elected kicker Matt Stover as the “greatest” player in franchise history over future hall of famers Jonathan Ogden and Ray Lewis. Seriously.

Let’s just hope NFL Shop is prepared for a spike in sales of the Stover alternate jersey from their web store.
As a Cleveland Browns fan, this could this be the equivalent of having your long time wife leave you and then you find out years later that the new man she chose over you has no job, weighs over 400 pounds, has an affinity for watching re-runs of Designing Women over football on Sunday, and is currently being followed by a camera crew for a “documentary about addiction.” Yet, somehow she is still happy with the current situation.
Think about it. Only the same fans who embraced both Art Modell and Peter Angelos could possibly assume the kicker is the player solely responsible for their success over the past decade. Perhaps they’ve deserved each other all along.

Maybe they’re trying to slap us in the face since he’s the only original Browns player.
Wow
Just wow. and they put him ahead of Jamal Lewis. Ray Lewis should be #1 on this list, no exceptions. You know your team sucks when your kicker is even in your top 3.
At least they value their (very good) kicker. A lot of people don’t give a second thought to the kicker unless he messes up.
Even Trent Dilfer should get more votes than Matt Stover. Last time I checked he was the QB who helped deliver the SuperBowl.
I like Stover a lot…but over Ray Lewis?
Are you sure this wasn’t Which Raven Would You Allow To Watch Your Children?
Did murder trials exempt players from ballots?
I’ve always assumed that Gayven fans were idiots. When you go to online forums to see what fans think of certain topics, the token Baltimoron always chimes in and says something so idiotic and asinine that you wonder which cave he’s been living in for the past decade. I mean, this is the same fan base that gave out a thunderous roar in their stadium in the first few years of their franchise when they heard that the Steelers had beaten the Redskins. That’s right: They cheered the victory of a division rival simply because they beat a team that was 30 minutes away.
There used to be an awesome site called Ravenssuck.com, but the owner had to let it go because of time restraints. Still, that site gave a complete breakdown of just why the Ravens, their fans, and everybody and everything involved with them suck and why you should hate them even if you’re not a Browns, Steelers, or Bengals fan. Wish it was still in commission, but its spirit certainly lives on.
Amar-
Amen brother.
furthermore, have you ever been to Baltimore? yeesh.
Wow, Must still sting knowing the Ravens left Cleveland and won a Super Bowl.. Ouch.
It is obvious from this survey that Ravens fans are inveterate racists.
lol why it seems as though youre jealous of my little team haha
