I’m a big big boxing fan. I honestly didn’t think Pavlik was gonna win last night. I think moving up in class 10-15 pounds was going to hurt him. He looked so slow and lethargic. Hopkins looked the part of the 26 year old last night, while Pavlik looked the opposite. It’s gonna be a tough loss for him to come back from too. You get beat like that and it’s gonna change his fighting the rest of his career. He’ll either learn from last night and be great, or be a “ghost” of his former self.
Yea he did look slow. Alot of fighters have trouble when they move up or move down in weight. I hope he bounce back and destroy hopkins if they have a rematch
I think the fight was more Hopkins turning the clock back 10 years than anything… very few people in their prime beat him they way he fought last night… Pavlik did well to not get mutilated although the fight was lopsided…. Pavlik needs to stay at 160 where his length and size are a difference maker, they weren’t last night…
