Cavaliers Preview Game #57
February 25, 2008Getting Better, One Player At A Time
February 26, 2008You know it is a slow day in Cleveland sports when two of the top stories regard “reunions.” Apparently, Tribe players Ryan Garko and Ben Francisco attended the same high school, while Delonte West is rejoined with a former college teammate in Dwayne Jones. Apparently, West and Jones were quite the pranksters…
One of their most notorious pranks involved filling a large trash can with water. They would lean the can against a dorm-room door, knock, then scatter as the unsuspected student would open the door and flood his or her room.
“It got to the point were no one wanted to open their door,” Jones said. “People had a suspicion that it was me and Delonte, but they could never prove that we did it. For some reason our room would always stay dry.”
While there’s another good story about the two hoopsters and a towed car, stuff like this is decent feel-good fodder to help fans realize that the new players meshing together may not be as difficult as others think – even if Jones may see an even further reduction in time with the new big men. One of LeBron’s best friends on the team is Damon Jones, and look at his role.
A little YouTube for you this morning, its a good thing that DeShawn Stevenson saved this performance for the Hornets instead of the Cavaliers…
If Vernon Gholston ends up on the Ravens, would we still be fans of his? I haven’t seen too many Troy Smith Baltimore jerseys around these parts…
OSU hoops against Indiana U this very evening. The Buckeyes dropped the last game by six, but this current Hoosier team struggled to beat Northwestern only a few days ago. While Indiana is very talented, and possesses two of the best players in the Conference, here’s to hoping that Thad Matta gets victory #99. Either way, Kelvin Sampson just can’t stop text messaging players… IDK

@irishmafia: I don’t know who you are or why you are leaving us nothing but expletive laced comments and spewing hatred about Cleveland sports, but your comments serve no purpose and they will not be posted. If you don’t like Cleveland sports teams, that’s fine….don’t read our site. I don’t know which post here set you off like this, but you need to get up from the computer and relax. There’s no reason to be so bitter and angry over sports.
