While We’re Waiting…
While We’re Waiting aims to be the round-up of the recent WFNY-esque information for your morning viewing. Have something you think we should see? Send it to our tips email in the sidebar.
“It is not entirely coincidental that James needs just one steal to break Mark Price’s record and become the team’s all-time leader in that category. The way the Cavs are playing defensively this season is giving him more freedom to gamble, and he’s taking full advantage.” [Mary Schmitt Boyer]
While we were away, it appears that Ohio State hoops has been doing pretty darn good. Enter the top 25, gentlemen. [Doug Lesmerises]

heard at WKNR or an affiliate:
the Schott isn’t interested in a coaching job, might take office job if Cowher is coach. Cowher is Lerner’s 1st choice (think we all knew that)
I’m wondering what’s taking so long to pull the trigger? Or at least attempt to pull the trigger to see if the bullet will even fly…

Did you guys read the article by Mary Schmitt Boyer in last Thurday’s PD on Zydrunas?
Very touching piece and appropriate as Big Z approaches the rebound record tonight against the Raptors….

Nice link Matt. Z gets me pumped up. So does his neck beard.

That’s a great article to contrast CC “taking a pay cut” to play in L.A.

yeah, the thought of ditching savage/crennel for schottenheimer/cowher is pretty enticing… you make one of those hope shirts with both of them on it, im buying one…. might as well put beanie on the back while you’re at it…

Beanie Wells would look great in a browns uniform, but with the defensive problems how could you possibly pass on Rey Maualuga if he’s available? The way the season is going, they may be high enough to get him.

Speaking of WFNY gear, my friends and I decided that we need some shirts in tribute to Austin Carr.
Some of our favorites:
the L-Train “throwin the hammer down”
“Furthermore, young man, get that weak stuff outta here!”

Thanks, Gregg. I’ve actually been thinking of some AC stuff. We’ll see what we can do!

I still haven’t received my gold trophy in the mail for winning WFNY survivor island. Is there a tracking number?
I finally get to watch a cavs game tonight! It’s been forever! Not to mention I bought tickets for the Cavs vs. Orlando game on Jan. 29th.

I think ILB is definitely a need on our team, but I’d like to see us draft Brian Orakpo, DE from Texas. He is the pass rushing threat that we desperately need, and I think you could play him at end in either a 3-4 or a 4-3 and you’d get good production (considering we have no idea what kind of defense the Browns will be implementing next year).
