Brady Quinn Slated To Start Week 14

Brady Quinn

…At least per Philadelphia sportswriter Larry O’Rourke.

Apparently, Mr. O’Rourke was given the task to forecast the entire upcoming season for the Eagles, giving a final score and a brief reason why.

Some of his forecasts are not too unrealistic.  For instance, Donovan McNabb is slated to be injured during the first quarter of Week 5, and “The Linc” booing both Andy Reid and McNabb during a Week 9 loss to the Giants.  Not to far-fetched, right?

And then there’s this:

Dec. 15: Eagles 31, Browns 13: Brady Quinn makes his first start for Cleveland and throws three interceptions. Eagles are 7-7 and alive in NFC wild-card race.

So, O’Rourke either feels that the Browns will either be out of the playoffs by this point in the season, or Quinn will be forced to start for other unforeseen reasons.  He also doesn’t have much faith in the former first-rounder as three picks isn’t exactly a compliment.

I realize that this guy was paid to just put words on paper, and mentioning our back-up QB seems like a decent way to mention the upcoming contest between the Eagles and Browns.  With that said, I’m curious as to whether it’s even worth thinking about Quinn at this point.  The job is obviously Derek Anderson’s to lose, but on a National stage that this team will see an awful lot of, the pressure to perform is exponentially larger.

You forget they have Asante now, which in Eagle fan lingo means they’ll have 3 interceptions at the very least EVERY game
